Children’s University of Economics

ABOUT EUD

Children’s University of Economics (EUD) is a nationwide project of economic education for children run by the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Directions in Warsaw in cooperation with the Wroclaw University of Economics and other universities.

The idea behind EUD is:

  • popularization of knowledge
  • building economic awareness
  • Developing entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors

The offer is aimed at students in grades 4-6 in elementary schools.

Parallel to the children’s classes there are classes for parents/guardians of EUD students.

Why enroll your child in the EUD?

  • Classes are held in a semester cycle.
  • Each semester consists of 6 meetings on selected Mondays at 18:00-19:30 at WUEB.
  • For EUD students, we select the most interesting topics in the areas of management, marketing, entrepreneurial finance, business environment, effective self-improvement and business practice.
  • Together we learn practical skills!
  • Classes for children are conducted by academics from partner universities (local experts), Foundation experts (external experts) and practitioners.
  • After each meeting, you’ll find lecture materials and a photo gallery on the EUD website, showing both the participants and the results of their creative workshop work.
  • Participation in the EUD is free of charge!

The support of group supervisors consists of efficient organization of each meeting and care during the workshop.

Young students assisted by volunteers in the workshop have the opportunity to see what cooperation, good organization, and time pressure mean.

Children especially enjoy acquiring knowledge and skills when they see their practical application in real life.

During the workshop, young students use various aids to prepare the project: flipchart paper, markers in several colors.

The most important thing, of course, is the work idea itself and the concerted cooperation in the group!

What do the classes look like?

The meetings consist of 3 parts:

  1. Theoretical lecture, during which we invite children to discuss.
  2. The workshop part, during which EUD students work in groups and carry out projects together. The work of young students is supported by volunteers.
  3. Presentation of the results of the completed project.

In the last classes, EUD students write an optional knowledge test. There will be prizes for the children with the highest scores!
