Archives of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business
The WUEB Archives collects and preserves records produced at the University. Here you can inquire about the collection, obtain a certificate for Social Security, and perform educational verification.
- The Archive of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business makes photocopies, scans, printouts for private and commercial use against payment after placing an order and making a payment to the indicated account.
- Certificates and verifications are issued within 14 working days.
- Certificates of study are sent by registered mail without acknowledgment of receipt.
- Unclaimed documents (except diplomas and certificates issued by WUEB) are sent by registered mail with return receipt.
- Fees for archival services are regulated by the price list introduced by Rector’s Order No. 167/2024.
- Graduates of the WUEB Branch in Jelenia Góra and those interested in the collections there are asked to contact the Wrocław Uniwesitu of Economic and Bussiness Branch Archives.
- The Archive also performs, upon written request and approval from the Rector of WUEB, searches (thematic, scientific) for a fee.
- Please transfer money only after you are sure that the Archive is able to carry out verification, searches, or prepare a certificate.
- The head of the WUEB Archives may refuse to make copies or scans of archival materials in justified cases – in particular, when: the state of preservation of archival materials does not allow it, they are disordered, the Archive does not have the technical capacity to perform the service or there are reasonable legal restrictions on the release or copying of specific documents.

WUEB Archives issues copies of stored documentation. Due to the Law on Personal Data Protection in force (Journal of Laws 2002, No. 101, item 926, as amended), documents containing protected data are issued upon written request of interested persons or authorized institutions.
NOTE!
In the case of photocopies or scans of documents belonging to the requesting person (the contents of the personal file of an employee, student, doctoral student, including, for example, undergraduate, master’s, doctoral thesis, etc.), there is no need to obtain permission from the Rector or submit a record release card. A letter to the Archives containing such information as the name of the requesting person, the date, information on what documents are to be copied/scanned and a handwritten signature (or qualified electronic signature) is sufficient.
Method of handling the case:
- Make sure that the Archive is in possession of the documents you would like to receive copies of and what the exact price of the service will be. This should be done by contacting the Archive by email, telephone or in person.
- Then fill out and submit a record release card and provide proof of payment to the designated account.
- The signed records release card should be sent by mail to the Archives’ address or delivered in person.
- In the case of electronically signed cards with a qualified electronic signature, it is permissible to send them by e-mail or via e-PUAP – sub-box address /UEWroclaw/SkrytkaESP).
- When completing the card, it should be noted that this is a service for making copies. If you are not familiar with the elements of the file description necessary to complete the card, the WUEB Archives will provide the relevant information to the applicant or complete the parts of the application yourself.
- It is also necessary to send an additional letter to the Rector of the Wrocław Uniwesitu of Economic and Bussiness requesting the possibility of access to the documentation stored in the Archives.
- The service will be performed upon confirmation of payment, submission of a completed records release card to the Archives and approval of the WUEB Rector.
- Once the service has been performed, information about the possibility of picking up the copied documents will be provided by e-mail or telephone, and if the documents are requested to be sent by mail, they will be sent to the indicated address by return receipt. In the case of personal collection, you must have with you an identity document or a notarized power of attorney authorizing you to act on behalf of the applicant.
- It is possible to send scans of documents by encrypted e-mail. In this case, you should be able to open such a file. It is not possible to send scans in an unencrypted email.

Certification of conformity with the original
The Archive issues certified copies of stored documentation, the so-called true copies. Due to the current law on personal data protection (Journal of Laws 2002 No. 101, item 926, as amended), documents containing protected data are issued at the written request of interested persons or authorized institutions.
Method of handling the case:
- Make sure that the WUEB Archives is in possession of the documents whose certified copies you would like to receive and what the exact price of the service will be. This should be done by contacting the Archive by email, telephone or in person.
- Then submit the appropriate application and provide proof of payment to the Archives account.
- The signed application should be sent by mail to the Archives’ address or delivered in person.
- For applications signed electronically with a qualified electronic signature, it is permissible to send them by e-mail or via e-PUAP – sub-box address /UEWroclaw/ESP box).
- Once the service has been performed, information about the possibility of picking up the certified documents will be provided by email, telephone, or in the case of a request to send the documents by mail – they will be sent to the indicated address by return receipt mail. In the case of personal collection, you must have with you an identity document or a notarized power of attorney authorizing you to act on behalf of the applicant.

Certificate of study
The Archive issues certificates to former students, postgraduate students and doctoral students of the Wrocław Uniwesitu of Economic and Bussiness about the program duration of studies for the purposes of, among others, calculating initial capital (RP-6), for pension purposes.
Method of handling the case:
- Certificates for pension purposes issued to the Social Security Administration are exempt from all fees.
- You must submit the appropriate application and provide proof of payment to the designated account, if the certificate is issued for purposes other than pension.
- The signed application should be sent by mail to the Archives’ address or delivered in person.
- In the case of applications signed electronically with a qualified electronic signature, it is permissible to send them by e-mail or via e-PUAP, the address of the sub-box /UEWroclaw/ESP box).
- Once the service has been performed, information about the possibility of collecting the certificate will be provided by e-mail, telephone, or if the documents are requested to be sent by mail – they will be sent to the indicated address by return receipt. For applications sent via e-PUAP, certificates will be sent back electronically via this form of contact, unless the applicant indicates otherwise in the application. When picking up in person, you must have with you an identity document or a notarized power of attorney authorizing you to act on behalf of the applicant.

Education verification
The archive verifies the education of former students, listeners and doctoral students of the Wrocław Uniwesitu of Economic and Bussiness.
NOTE!
The Archives handles educational verification only for those graduates whose records have already been transferred to the Archives. In the case of students, postgraduate students and doctoral students whose records still remain in the organizational units, contact the Dean’s Office, the Center for Continuing Education or the Doctoral School, respectively.
IMPORTANT!
Archives deal with verifying education only of those graduates whose documents have been transferred to archives. In case of students, post-graduate students, and PhD students whose documents still remain in their organizational units, it is necessary to contact the right Dean’s office, office of education (CKU) and PhD school.
Method of handling the case:
- The person being verified must provide consent to verify personal information authorizing the Archives of the Wrocław Uniwesitu of Economic and Bussiness to conduct background checks and provide information to the designated verification company.
- The signed application should be sent by mail or delivered in person to the address of the Archive. In the case of applications signed electronically with a qualified electronic signature, it is permissible to send them by e-mail or via e-PUAP, sub-box address /UEWroclaw/ESP box).
- The verification company should contact the WUEB Archives and provide information about the person it wishes to verify. In a situation where the verification will be carried out by another unit of the University, the information will be forwarded to the relevant unit.
- The service will be performed after confirmation of payment, the graduate’s submission to the Archives of consent to verify personal information, and information from the verification company is sent via email.
- Educational verification is done by drafting a document and sending it in encrypted form to a designated email address to the verification company.
- Educational verification is not performed by completing the provided form on the verification company’s website due to the impossibility of obtaining the confirmation of information provision required by law.
The procedure:
- The verified person has to provide agreement for verification of personal data allowing archives of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business to conduct verification of education and giving this information to the appointed verifying company.
- Signed application has to be sent by post or delivered in person to the address of the Wrocław University of Economics and Business archives. In case of applications signed electronically, using a qualified electronic signature, it is permissible to send them by e-mail or by e-PUAP to the following address: /UEWroclaw/SkrytkaESP).
- The company dealing with conducting verification should contact the archives and give information about the person to be verified in case the verification will be conducted by another university unit information will be transferred to the right unit.
- The service will be provided after payment confirmation, filing to the archives by the graduate agreement to data verification and sending by mail from the verifying firm.
- Verification of education is conducted by preparing a document and sending it in an encrypted form to the appointed address dealing with conducting verification.
- Verification of education is not conducted through completing a form on the verifying company website, because of the inability of getting a legal permission for the confirmation of sharing data.

Release of postdoctoral, doctoral, diploma theses
The archive also provides access to postdoctoral, doctoral and thesis dissertations for research and academic purposes.
Method of handling the case:
- A request must be made before the file can be released.
- The signed application should be sent by mail to the Archive’s address or delivered in person. In the case of applications signed electronically with a qualified electronic signature, it is acceptable to send them by e-mail or via e-PUAP to the sub-box address /UEWroclaw/SkrytkaESP).

Personal collection of documents
It is possible to pick up original documents submitted for recruitment or not picked up after graduation at the Archives.
Method of handling the case:
- Contact the Archives by email or phone so that the relevant documents can be prepared for collection.
- Come to the Archives in person, necessarily with an identity document.
- The documents will be issued against receipt.
- The documents can be collected only by the person to whom they belong or by a third party who has an authorization confirmed by a notary.
- Foreign documents (matriculation certificate, diploma of a foreign university, etc.) can be sent to the address by return receipt, but this is not possible for documents issued by Wroclaw University of Economics.
Archival Information/Checkout
The archive, at the request of an interested person, can conduct a search. This is a paid service.
Method of handling the case:
- Make sure that the WUEB Archives is in possession of the documents from which you would like to obtain information, as a fee is charged regardless of the outcome of the search. This should be done by contacting the Archive by email, telephone or in person.
- After conducting the commissioned search, the Archive will provide information on the final cost of the service.
- Upon payment of the fee and presentation of proof of payment, the Archives will provide the results of the search to the person concerned.
