What does DE&I mean?
Recognizing and accepting differences among people, promoting diversity, equity & inclusion (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), are becoming – in today’s higher education – key aspects of shaping the working and learning environment.
We refer to this approach aimed at harnessing the potential inherent in the differences among members of an organization as Diversity Management.
Equal treatment and anti-discrimination team
At WUEB, we have an Equal Treatment and Anti-Discrimination Team. It was established in order to:
- initiate and implement activities for the dissemination of
- implementation of the ideas of equality, diversity, tolerance
- respect and protection of human rights
in relation to the entire academic community and its environment.
In particular, it is about developing strategies, policies and programs to create an inclusive organizational culture in which everyone will be respected, valued, treated with dignity. At the initiative of the Team on April 11, 2022. WUEB, represented by the Rector, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Kaleta and pro-rectors, signed the Diversity Charter.
The Diversity Charter is an international initiative implemented in 26 countries of the European Union.
In Poland it has been present since 2012. Signing the Diversity Charter is a manifestation of the realization of the key values of the UEW, such as:
