Our University’s holiday commemorates the date of the first academic lecture delivered on February 3, 1947. By Professor Wincenty Stys for students at the School of Economics. The ceremony is an opportunity to present state, ministerial and commemorative medals and confer honorary titles to the University. The ceremony is also the time when we present commemorative and occasional awards. At this year’s ceremony, the title of Honorary Professor of UEW will be awarded to prof. dr hab. Józef Dziechciarz .
