WUEB expert in the Smart City debate at the Economic Forum in Karpacz

Natalia Szozda, Associate Professor, represented the Wroclaw Univeristy of Economics and Business in the Smart City debate at the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz. The discussion of Wroclaw’s micro-hub brought together the perspectives of local government and academia. “Smart City begins with the real needs of residents,” she wrote after the panel.

Professor Szozda heads the Department of Logistics and researches the digital transformation of supply chains. Her publications include work on the impact of Industry 4.0 on logistics and on product management in the era of digital transformation. In NEXTLOGIC, she is part of the WUEB team working to launch a mobile micro-hub in Wroclaw and to implement a digital twin that will make it possible to assess the solutions adopted to improve urban logistics.

Cooperation between WUEB researchers and the city is consistent with WUEB Strategy 2030’s directions on research for social development and relationships with economic and social partners.

WUEB was the Forum’s Academic Partner. University experts also joined debates on cooperation between academia and local government, artificial intelligence and leadership.
