Six researchers from Wroclaw University of Economics and Business have been included in the 2026 World’s Top 2% Scientists database. Professor Katarzyna Piwowar-Sulej achieved a particularly notable result, ranking first among 12 Poland-affiliated authors included in the Business & Management subfield.
The database also features Professor Stanisław Heilpern, Associate Professor Agnieszka Orkusz, Associate Professor Arkadiusz Piwowar, Associate Professor Adam Sulich and Dr Monika Wereńska.
This year’s results reflect more than the international recognition of WUEB researchers’ work. An analysis of the last three editions reveals consistent annual growth in citations to publications by four of our researchers for whom comparable data are available. For Professor Katarzyna Piwowar-Sulej, the increase exceeded 181% between 2023 and 2025.
What do these results mean? How have WUEB researchers’ positions changed in recent years, and how do they compare with other Poland-affiliated scientists?
