Scholars from the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (UEW) have once again been included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025 list, compiled by Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies.
In the career‑long citation‑impact category, Professor Stanisław Heilpern (prof. dr hab.) has been recognised again — a noted expert in statistics, insurance and decision theory, and a long‑standing member of UEW’s Department of Statistics [do weryfikacji].
In the single‑year list for 2024, four UEW researchers were distinguished:
- Professor Katarzyna Piwowar-Sulej — specialist in sustainability-oriented human resource management and leadership (Department of Labour, Capital and Innovation, WUEB).
- Associate Professor Agnieszka Orkusz — researcher in food technology and nutrition (Department of Biotechnology and Food Analysis, UEW).
- Associate Professor Arkadiusz Piwowar, — recognised expert in agribusiness and sustainable economics (Department of Economics and Organisation of Food Economy, WUEB).
- Adam Sulich, PhD. — specialist in sustainable development and the green economy (Department of Advanced Research in Management, WUEB).
Across their disciplines, UEW researchers rank among Poland’s leading authors; over the past year their publications were among the country’s most‑cited. This is another signal of the University’s steadily growing international visibility and research influence. Congratulations!
