Students at our university can benefit from preferential student loans that provide financial support to cover living and study-related expenses.
Flexible Monthly Payments
Students may choose the amount they wish to receive each month: PLN 400, 600, 800, or 1,000. The selected amount can be changed during the loan period, making it easy to adjust to current needs.
Simple Procedure and Year-Round Availability
Applications for a student loan may be submitted at any time during the academic year. The bank has up to 30 days to issue a decision, and the process is completed only once, as the loan is granted for the entire duration of studies.
A student loan may be combined with any type of scholarship. The only formal requirement is that family income does not exceed PLN 3,000 net per person.
BGK Guarantee
Students who do not have adequate financial collateral may apply for a guarantee from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. This option enables students from lower-income families to access a loan.
Repayment Starts Two Years After Graduation
Loan repayment begins two years after graduation, giving graduates time to find employment and stabilize their financial situation. Until repayment starts, the state covers the cost of the loan and subsidizes interest throughout the entire repayment period.
The repayment period is twice as long as the loan disbursement period, which results in lower monthly instalments. For example, if a student received PLN 800 per month, the later monthly instalment will be approximately PLN 400.
Loan Forgiveness Options
The best-performing graduates may qualify for forgiveness of up to 50% of the loan value. This applies to students who graduate in the top 10 percent of their cohort. In particularly difficult life situations, the minister responsible for higher education may cancel part of the loan, or in exceptional cases, the entire amount.
