It defines specific goals and performance indicators for the University\u2019s activities in education, research, organisational culture, stakeholder engagement, and responsible social and environmental initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The document focuses on five priority UN Sustainable Development Goals, selected in line with the character and mission of a business university:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Goal 4<\/strong> \u2013 Quality Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 8<\/strong> \u2013 Decent Work and Economic Growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 9<\/strong> \u2013 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 11<\/strong> \u2013 Sustainable Cities and Communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 13<\/strong> \u2013 Climate Action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These goals are pursued within seven Strategic Directions, covering areas such as: conducting research for social development, flexible and personalised education, building relationships with business and the social environment, strengthening international position, digitalisation, and implementing solutions beneficial to society and the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How was the Plan developed?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initial work on the Plan ran in parallel with the development of Strategy 2030 and focused on assessing the materiality of sustainability-related topics. Over time, the process expanded to include more participants and took the form of a broad participatory process based on a double materiality assessment. Both internal and external stakeholders of the University were engaged in the process. It included, among others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a survey with 484 respondents (March 2024),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>expert workshops with the Sustainability Office, Green Team, and the International Cooperation Centre,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>four dialogue sessions of the Sustainability Forum (2024\u20132026) with representatives of stakeholders, University authorities and the academic community,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consultations with participants of the Children\u2019s Economics University, the Young Economist Academy, and the University of the Third Age,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>results of the Positive Impact Rating study conducted among students in 2024 and 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This process ensured that the Plan is grounded in the real expectations and needs of the UEW community and its environment. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to its creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Plan is a living document, subject to regular review and updates. The next step will be to establish baseline values for the individual indicators, which will be included in the next version of the document. Our goal is for Wroc\u0142aw University of Economics and Business to become a leader in building knowledge and practical solutions that bring real benefits to society, the economy, and the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More information about the UEW Sustainability Plan:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/uew.pl\/en\/sustainability-plan\/\"><strong>https:\/\/uew.pl\/en\/sustainability-plan\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WUEB Sustainability Plan was prepared by the Sustainability Office: Dr Ewa Brzozowicz, Dr Karolina Daszy\u0144ska-\u017bygad\u0142o and Dr Dominika Hadro, Prof. UEW, under the substantive supervision of Prof. Bogus\u0142awa Drelich-Skulska.
