{"id":278208,"date":"2026-06-30T15:03:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:03:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uew.pl\/?p=278208"},"modified":"2026-06-30T15:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:11:09","slug":"times-higher-education-impact-rankings-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uew.pl\/en\/times-higher-education-impact-rankings-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"WUEB Makes Its Debut in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (WUEB) has participated in the prestigious <strong>Times Higher Education Impact Rankings<\/strong> for the first time, one of the world&#8217;s leading international rankings assessing universities&#8217; contributions to achieving the <strong>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this year&#8217;s edition, WUEB achieved an <strong>overall score of 54.7 out of 100<\/strong>, placing the University in the <strong>801\u20131000<\/strong> band among participating universities worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Ranking That Measures Real-World Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Times Higher Education Impact Ratings r\u00f3\u017cni si\u0119 od tradycyjnych ranking\u00f3w akademickich. Ocenia nie tylko osi\u0105gni\u0119cia naukowe, ale przede wszystkim rzeczywisty wp\u0142yw uczelni na otoczenie spo\u0142eczne, gospodarcze i \u015brodowiskowe. Analizowane s\u0105 m.in. dzia\u0142ania na rzecz r\u00f3wno\u015bci, jako\u015bci edukacji, zr\u00f3wnowa\u017conego rozwoju, wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy z otoczeniem spo\u0142eczno-gospodarczym, odpowiedzialnego zarz\u0105dzania zasobami czy wspierania innowacji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Udzia\u0142 w rankingu stanowi potwierdzenie zaanga\u017cowania uczelni w rozwi\u0105zywanie wsp\u00f3\u0142czesnych wyzwa\u0144 cywilizacyjnych oraz budowanie trwa\u0142ej warto\u015bci dla spo\u0142ecze\u0144stwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obecno\u015b\u0107 UEW w Times Higher Education Impact Ratings jest sp\u00f3jna z za\u0142o\u017ceniami <strong>Strategii 2030<\/strong>, kt\u00f3ra podkre\u015bla znaczenie odpowiedzialno\u015bci spo\u0142ecznej, zr\u00f3wnowa\u017conego rozwoju, wysokiej jako\u015bci bada\u0144 naukowych oraz aktywnego wp\u0142ywu uczelni na rozw\u00f3j regionu, kraju i spo\u0142eczno\u015bci mi\u0119dzynarodowej.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WUEB&#8217;s Highest-Ranked Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike traditional academic rankings, the <strong>Times Higher Education Impact Rankings<\/strong> evaluate not only research excellence but also the tangible social, economic, and environmental impact of universities. The assessment covers a broad range of activities, including promoting equality, quality education, sustainable development, engagement with local and global communities, responsible resource management, and support for innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation in the ranking confirms the University&#8217;s commitment to addressing today&#8217;s global challenges and creating lasting value for society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WUEB&#8217;s presence in the <strong>Times Higher Education Impact Rankings<\/strong> is fully aligned with the objectives of the University&#8217;s <strong>Strategy 2030<\/strong>, which emphasizes social responsibility, sustainable development, high-quality research, and the University&#8217;s active contribution to the development of the region, the country, and the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WUEB&#8217;s Highest-Ranked Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The University&#8217;s strongest performance was recorded in the following Sustainable Development Goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SDG 5 \u2013 Gender Equality<\/strong> \u2013 ranked in the <strong>401\u2013600<\/strong> band;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 8 \u2013 Decent Work and Economic Growth<\/strong> \u2013 ranked in the <strong>401\u2013600<\/strong> band;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 12 \u2013 Responsible Consumption and Production<\/strong> \u2013 ranked in the <strong>401\u2013600<\/strong> band.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The University received particularly high scores for its research performance, gender equality policies, employment practices, and sustainability reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the highest-scoring indicators were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SDG 4 \u2013 Quality Education research publications (79.4);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SDG 5 \u2013 Gender Equality research publications (82.7);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the proportion of senior female academics (97.4) within SDG 5;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SDG 8 \u2013 Decent Work and Economic Growth research publications (81.5);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the percentage of staff employed on secure contracts (93.2) within SDG 8;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SDG 16 \u2013 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions research publications (71.0);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publication of sustainability reports (100.0) within SDG 17 \u2013 Partnerships for the Goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Strong Foundation for Future Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>WUEB&#8217;s debut in the <strong>Times Higher Education Impact Rankings<\/strong> marks an important milestone in strengthening the University&#8217;s international recognition.
