{"id":262005,"date":"2026-01-15T09:02:29","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T08:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uew.pl\/?p=262005"},"modified":"2026-01-22T13:09:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T12:09:59","slug":"scientific-mentoring-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uew.pl\/en\/scientific-mentoring-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"WUEB strengthens research capacity: the strategic &#8220;Academic Mentoring&#8221; project has been completed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Podsumowanie projektu Mentoring naukowy na UEW\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4tZ7_PC1Alo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (WUEB) has completed the strategic project &#8220;Academic Mentoring&#8221; &#8211; an initiative launched in 2022 under the priority &#8220;Recognised research inspired by science.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The programme was designed as an institutional investment in research quality: it developed research and publication competencies, streamlined standards of scholarly work, and strengthened a culture of collaboration, including readiness to work in international teams.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentoring was delivered along three tracks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Academic Writing<\/strong> \u2013 preparing publications and grant applications,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Research Skills<\/strong> \u2013 research methods and methodology,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>International Team-Working<\/strong> \u2013 collaboration in international teams, joint publications, and project proposals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Across four editions, 13 mentoring processes were completed, with the strongest interest focused on developing research skills. In parallel, the programme included interdisciplinary seminars and workshops that helped build a shared language of quality and strengthened scientific awareness among a broader group of university staff. Internationalisation and collaboration were supported by mentors from the University of Exeter Business School, Mendel University in Brno, and the Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Torino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project outcomes include, among others, high-scoring publications in peer-reviewed journals, participation in projects (including Horizon Europe), securing funding (NCN), and the development of inter-university collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For WUEB, this is part of long-term capacity building: mentoring&nbsp; as a mechanism for knowledge transfer and professionalisation of research practice, translating into stable research quality, more mature processes, and an ability to collaborate in demanding configurations &#8211; from national projects to international partnerships. In the project wrap-up, participants highlighted benefits extending beyond methods and methodology to include work organisation, teamwork, and competencies that strengthen the durability and
