Prof. Przemys\u0142aw Skulski (WUEB) explains where the real bottleneck is \u2014 and how Europe can respond.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What matters to understand?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The key issue isn\u2019t mining \u2014 it\u2019s processing. <\/strong>China leads in the toughest step: refining and separation. That\u2019s where market leverage comes from.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Impact on industry:<\/strong> when refined materials are scarce or expensive, production slows and costs rise \u2014 from EV motors to high\u2011performance magnets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Europe\u2019s response:<\/strong> deliver on the CRMA agenda, scale recycling, and build processing capacity at home and with trusted partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What businesses can do: <\/strong>diversify suppliers, sign longer contracts, build safety buffers, and design products for material recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In the longer term we can reduce dependency \u2014 but it will be neither quick nor cheap. \u2014 Prof. Przemys\u0142aw Skulski<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Want to dive deeper?
